Plain Cake

Flour | 1-1/2 Cups |
Butter | 1/2 Cup |
Sugar | 1 Cup |
Milk | 1/2 Cup |
Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon |
Vanilla Extract | 1 Teaspoon |
Baking Powder | 1 Teaspoon |
Eggs | 2 |
Cream the butter. Gradually work sugar into butter. Add two egg yolks and beat. Alternate between adding mixture of milk and vanilla, and adding mixture of baking powder, salt, and flour. Beat egg whites to stiff peaks and fold into batter. Place batter into greased pan. Cook at 350*F for 30 minutes.
